How Colorado Ethiopian Community handles the information you share with us.
Information we collect
When you become a CEC member we collect your first name, last name, email address, and phone number, along with the date you joined and whether you chose to receive emails and/or text messages from us.
Why we collect it
We use this information to maintain our community membership records and to share news about CEC events, programs, resources, and opportunities with members who asked to hear from us.
How we use email addresses
Email addresses are used to send community newsletters, event announcements, program updates, and community news — only to members who checked the email consent box. Every message includes an unsubscribe link.
How we use phone numbers
Phone numbers are used to reach members about community matters, and for text messages only when a member checked the SMS consent box. Consent to receive text messages is optional and is not required to become a CEC member.
Opting out
You may unsubscribe from CEC emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email. You may stop text messages at any time by replying STOP, or reply HELP for help. You can also email info@ethioco.org and we will update your preferences.
We do not sell your information
Phone numbers and SMS opt-in information will not be sold or shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Member names, emails, phone numbers, and consent records are kept private and are accessible only to authorized CEC staff.
